Christmas has arrived at The Ned!

During the final days of lock-down, it was wonderful to see our whole team of florists working safely together again, busy with the install we’ve been looking forward to all year: Christmas at The Ned. By the time the hotel re-opened on the 2nd December, Christmas had well and truly arrived.

From the rooftop right down to the Spa, we’ve installed beautiful festive displays. Garlands and wreaths are hung, trees are twinkling and the show-stopping halo is glistening above the bandstand.

This year’s main tree almost touches the Hotel ceiling at 22 feet tall! The British-grown Premier Nordman tree is perhaps our most extravagant yet - with over 6000 fairy lights, gold toned foliage and an array of champagne, ivory and gold baubles. We were overjoyed to see that Harpers Bazaar have declared it their favourite tree in the Capital - and whilst we may be biased, it’s definitely ours too.

Perrier-Jouët at The Ned

One of our favourite events of 2019 was the elegant white party on the rooftop of The Ned hosted by Perrier-Jouët. We used luxurious white orchids, vines and amaranthus to create hanging gardens suspended above the guests while they sipped on Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blanc and ate the delicious food on offer.

The most wonderful time of the year... at The Ned

Christmas has officially landed at The Ned! On the ground floor of the former banking hall we installed an 18-foot British-grown Premier Nordman tree with 4,000 traditional fairy lights, velvet bows and more than 1,000 gold and burgundy baubles. A host of classic decorations spread a festive glow throughout the ground floor and in the middle of it all hangs the largest twinkling wreath in the City, illuminating The Nickel Stage, where live music will be performed each day. Pop in and see for yourself - we hope this season’s guests enjoy the decorations as much as we enjoyed making them!

The Saloon at The NED

Since its opening in April, its been a whirlwind ride for us at The Ned. Not just with the beautiful blooms we've been installing each week but also the incredible events happening each day. We’ve been lucky enough to help style, decorate and 'fill with flowers' some of London’s most stunning event spaces.

The Saloon (our secret favourite) is a romantic, opulent and stylish ballroom and the best backdrop to any London wedding, dinner or party. We recently worked with the incredible Jodie, decorating the gigantic, ornate mantlepiece and packing the long dining table full of Peonies, Dahlias, Hellebores and Sweet William's in bold and dark colours. Setting the perfect scene for this social media lunch. And don't event mention the chandelier…

The Tapestry Room - The Ned

It's only on the rare occasion that we're left 'speechless' but the first time we entered The Ned we were pretty quiet… and on discovering The Tapestry Room we lost our voices, left in awe by the scale and grandeur of the space. The original tapestry is one of the largest of its kind. Four impressive fireplaces set amongst dark wooden panels create an authentic, traditional feel beneath restored vintage chandeliers. For a recent shoot we used whites and greens to create a fresh look to compliment the room; a fusion of hydrangeas, peonies, pampas grass and sweet peas.

The Ned in Bloom

We are delighted to announce that we'll be working with The Ned, London's hottest new hotel opening, as the official contract florists. The hotel, situated in the old Midland Bank building, has been brought back to life by the Soho House and Sydell Groups. The stylishly restored venue boasts, 250 stunning bedrooms, seven restaurants, two pools, a spa, club and breath-taking roof terrace. For the florals, we'll be adding to the existing drama and scale with large and impactful displays to welcome guests to the hotel, using opulent roses to enhance member spaces and crafting relaxed arrangements for the relaxation areas. Trust us when we say The Ned has to be seen to be believed!
