Festivities with Perrier-Jouët at The Ned

Perrier-Jouët hosted an intimate festive lunch for Members at The Ned this week , where amazing West-End performers sang Christmas classics in chorus, to guests who were snuggled in sheepskin and sipping champagne. We had the pleasure of dressing the roof-top bar with gorgeous floral arrangements. Aptly snowy Avalanche Roses, fragrant Lilac, Pom Pom Ranunculus and of course Anemones were intermingled with fluffy pine, helping to transform the space into a winter wonderland for the afternoon.

Christmas has arrived at The Ned!

During the final days of lock-down, it was wonderful to see our whole team of florists working safely together again, busy with the install we’ve been looking forward to all year: Christmas at The Ned. By the time the hotel re-opened on the 2nd December, Christmas had well and truly arrived.

From the rooftop right down to the Spa, we’ve installed beautiful festive displays. Garlands and wreaths are hung, trees are twinkling and the show-stopping halo is glistening above the bandstand.

This year’s main tree almost touches the Hotel ceiling at 22 feet tall! The British-grown Premier Nordman tree is perhaps our most extravagant yet - with over 6000 fairy lights, gold toned foliage and an array of champagne, ivory and gold baubles. We were overjoyed to see that Harpers Bazaar have declared it their favourite tree in the Capital - and whilst we may be biased, it’s definitely ours too.

Perrier-Jouët Christmas at the InterContinental

We absolutely loved creating this dramatic Belle Epoque inspired Christmas tree for Perrier-Jouët at the always glamorous InterContinental Hotel on Park Lane. An enormous explosion of shimmering champagne pinks, silver and gold bauble bubbles burst into the tree from champagne bottles uncorked in silver holders. The bubbles playfully danced up to the very top and were lit by hundreds of soft fairy lights, iconic white anemones also adorned the branches.

The most wonderful time of the year... at The Ned

Christmas has officially landed at The Ned! On the ground floor of the former banking hall we installed an 18-foot British-grown Premier Nordman tree with 4,000 traditional fairy lights, velvet bows and more than 1,000 gold and burgundy baubles. A host of classic decorations spread a festive glow throughout the ground floor and in the middle of it all hangs the largest twinkling wreath in the City, illuminating The Nickel Stage, where live music will be performed each day. Pop in and see for yourself - we hope this season’s guests enjoy the decorations as much as we enjoyed making them!

Soho Home's Christmas Story

We're feeling thoroughly festive after Soho Home's Christmas Story shoot at the home of party scene queen Fiona Leahy, Founder and Creative Director of her eponymous event design agency. Flowers are one of Fiona's absolute must-haves for any celebration, so we made sure to impress by using a variety of roses, dried hydrangea, snowberries, astilbe and skimmia, all in rich jewel tones across the grand fireplace and down the tables. An 8ft Christmas tree completed the seasonal scene perfectly.

A special tree for Annabel's

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, particularly in Mayfair where we helped assemble one of the biggest Christmas trees in town at Annabel’s. Working with the immensely talented team at S2, we turned the club's famous facade into a gigantic tree lighting up Berkley Square with its thousands of lights, baubles and oversized gifts. A candy cane door arch and giant gold bow provided the finishing touches... not forgetting a gold star shining brightly on top of course!

House & Garden included the festive facade in their round-up of ‘The best Christmas Trees on show in London’

Christmas at The Ned

It's a privilege and a joy to create floral arrangements for The Ned all year round but we were especially giddy to get to work this Christmas. Taking inspiration from the original African pillars and the luxe interiors, the 20ft Premier Nordmann Fir tree in the main hall glows with 4,500 lights and more than 900 decorations in green and gold hues. Trees around the hotel are decorated in the same style, with a touch of plum red in the Tapestry Room and Saloon to create a cosy festive feel. Garlands are filled with seasonal, natural decorations, diffusing scents of lavender and orange - pop in for a cocktail, we guarantee it'll get you in the Christmas spirit!
