We are always thrilled to return to Annabel’s, and we were delighted to be part of their annual Chinese New Year celebrations. We dressed the amazing space from top to toe, including a cascading waterfall of twinkling lanterns down the central staircase. Elsewhere, we created an elaborate flower arch in the Rose Room, including heavily clustered pink and red roses layered on a backdrop of rich gold camelia and cherry blossom, red orchids and lacquered fans. Festoons of lanterns were also hung throughout the Garden and Nightclub so members and their guests could be transported to the Orient. Last but not least, we crowned our favourite gorilla with a truly elaborate traditional Chinese operatic pom pom headdress and nestled him in swaths of cherry blossom, orchids and the odd antique fan.
